Malina Midera / Jēkabs Rēders
'Bye Bye Sadness' is a new year's resolution and an exploration of the wonderful and unique sound world of two Hohner keyboards from late 1980's. All of the compositions are semi-improvised, recorded and mixed on a 4 track cassette recorder.
This release is a spontanous idea of two composers and instrumentalists - Malina Midera (PL) and Jēkabs Rēders (LV) who already work together with jazz and improvised music in a project called 'Children of Fish. This is a new take on their expression of creativity through the limitation of simple digital synthesizers and instant compositions recorded straight on a cassette as first takes. The music is unforced, playful, with a hint of Nostalgia and a laid back approach on the titles..
